Doge’s Palace, also known as Palazzo Ducale in Italian, is one of the most visited museums in the world. This beautiful building has Venetian Gothic style and is located in VeniceItaly, in the Piazza San Marco 1. This impressive building is full of history.

The castle was built between the 10th and 11th century and suffered several fires and restores. Then, it became the center of political life and public administration during the Venetian Republic. After the fall of this republic, the castle started to decay.

Venice is a city located northeastern Italy with a total area of 414.57 km2. After being under several administrations, the Italian Government became the owner of the building and ordered in 1923 that this building was going to be used as a public museum. In 1966, the Dodge’s Palace became part of the Civic Museums of Venice network.

Camillo Tonini is the name of the current director of this art museum. Inside the museum, you can find several exhibitions and events to assist while you are visiting this beautiful city. The opening hours of this museum are from April, 1st to October, 31st, from 8:30 am to 7 pm and from November, 1st to March, 31st, from 8:30 am to 5:40 pm.
